Two different washer choices
The grill of your Farmall Tractor is really “the face” of your machine. After spending a lot of time sanding, filling and painting the grill, why put it back together with old bolts? Buy a pack of our stainless steel fasteners and make your Model H or M really shine at the shows.
When replacing external bolts you have several head choices. So called “stove bolts” might be perfect for wood burners but not so great for tractors. Hex head bolts look very much like factory machinery rather than well loved farm equipment. Our stainless steel Allen Socket Button Head bolts will give your Farmall a classy shiny, smooth appearance. Look around at the tractor shows. You will notice that many of the better looking machines are using Allen Socket Button Head bolts.
Included in this kit are two different types of washers.
(1) Rubber backed washers are excellent for dampening rattles and protecting paint. (2) Flat washers are good for covering up “rounded out” holes in sheet metal.
All washers are made of stainless steel. The choice is yours.

Why are these bolts so expensive???
Well, several factors influence the price. These bolts are fairly large, made of stainless steel and they have fine threads. All of these factors cost more than “common” bolts. If you buy zinc plated bolts they will probably rust in few years. If you buy coarse thread bolts they will strip out the mounts in your tractor. Also, rubber backed washers are more expensive than split ring lock washers.

Why not hex heads???
It’s all about the paint. Original equipment fasteners were hex head bolts combined with split ring lock washers. That type of washer is designed to dig into the metal below which tears up paint. Also any tool that you use on a hex head bolt goes on the outside of the head and can disturb paint especially if the tool slips off the bolt. Our Socket Button Head are installed with Allen wrenches or Allen sockets that seldom slip out.

This is a simple, easy, but very noticeable upgrade for your Farmall tractor.
