Harley Front Disk Brake Bolt Set

Grade 18-8 Stainless Steel
This bolt set is the size that fits most FRONT brakes rotors on Harley and custom motorcycles from 1984 to present. The bolts are 5/16” UNC (Unified Coarse) threads x ¾” long. The heads are the good looking Allen button head design.
Torx heads were invented in 1967 to aid in robotics assembly. If you see this type of head on any machine, you immediately think that was put together by a robot. If you see socket button heads on a machine, you probably think that is was built by a human that cares!
Many Harley owners love to dress up their bikes with chrome plated parts. However, chrome pieces on wheels may not be the best idea. If stones fly up and chip the plating on your disk brake bolt, water can then get under the plating, rust will form and the plating will peel. Our bolts are made of grade 18-8 stainless steel (18% chromium & 8% nickel) to prevent rust forever. If you dent these stainless steel bolts, they are dented, but no rust will appear. Sand out the dent and ride on.
This is a quick, easy and inexpensive up-grade to your bike. You will complete the conversion in just a few minutes.
You may like the shine of chrome bolts better than stainless steel. The difference is that chrome plating has the chrome ON the steel whereas stainless steel has the chrome IN the steel. You need to bring that out. If you have a buffing wheel and a stick of compound it is easy. Just a few seconds on each head and you’re there. If no wheel is available, get some Mother’s Mag Polish or better yet, Blue Magic Metal Polish. Rub that in and you won’t be able to tell the difference between stainless steel and chrome!
