Bicycle Disk Brake Bolts and Washers - 6 pack - Stainless Steel
Bicycle Disk Brake Bolts (12mm long) with Washers
Grade 18-8 Stainless Steel
Normally brake disks are attached to hubs with 10mm long bolts and loctite on the threads. This generally works OK until it is time to remove the disk. Then you may have a very difficult time fighting with the glue to remove the bolts. If you strip out the head of a bolt or two, you will be reduced to grinding them off and hoping that you can get the bolt shaft out with vise grips. If things go really wrong, you will needing to buy a new hub or wheel.
All of the above can be avoided by NOT using Loctite.
Our kits include star washers and 10mm long bolts to secure the disks to the hubs yet let them be easily removed.
Our stars washers are the same diameter as the bolt heads and tuck away underneath and out of sight. The little teeth dig in and hold bolts from backing out. When a brake disk needs to be removed, normal tool pressure with unscrew bolts secured by star washers.
Our bolts can be installed with a standard Allen wrench. So if you do not have a set of Torx wrenches, these bolts are perfect for you!

They are made from Grade 18-8 stainless steel and will probably outlast your bike!
