Most brake pads come with non-locking, cadmium plated nuts. It doesn’t take long before these inexpensive fasteners rust and detract from the appearance of your bike. Also, standard hex nuts just don’t hold as well as nylon insert lock nuts.

Our bicycle brake pad nuts are made of stainless steel to eliminate rust. Each pack comes with 8 nuts and 8 washers which is enough hardware for two bicycles.

Even if you are buying a brand new set of brake pads, it is a good idea to replace the nuts with a set of our stainless steel nuts and then you will never have to worry about corrosion.

You may think that you could locate brake pad nuts locally and that may be true. However, metric thread stainless steel nuts are not easy to find and certainly not cheap.
