When re-installing a dash on a LoBoy tractor you have a choice of several head designs. Hex heads look like something that belongs on the engine, slot heads look old fashioned, Phillips heads are generic, and Torx heads look like they were installed by a robot. However, if you select socket button head fasteners you give the impression that your tractor was restored by someone who cares.

Also, you have a choice of materials for your fasteners. Plated steel fasteners are inexpensive but soon discolor and eventually rust. Chrome bolts are expensive but when water gets under the plating, they peel and look bad. Our solid stainless steel bolts stay bright for years and never rust. To make them look extra good, most any metal polish will do but our favorite is Blue Magic.

Finally you will need to make a decision about washers. Eliminating them is not a good option as bolts tend to loosen faster without washers. Tractors vibrate during usage and bolts will eventually turn. If you have used flat steel of fender washers, you may hear noises. Our rubber backed washers are designed to help reduce these rattles. These are actually neoprene washers bonded to a stainless steel backing, used to seal out air/water or dampen noise and vibration.
